I backed this expecting the usual crowdfunding delays, but this took way longer than it should have. The rewards eventually showed up, but the updates were vague and way too infrequent, so I never really knew what was going on. the whole experience made me lose trust in the team, and I’d be really hesitant to back anything from them again

The site is fine for browsing and finding models, but I don’t fully trust the ratings. I usually rely on quick mental shortcuts like checking the star score and skimming a few reviews, but a lot of them feel too vague or thin. Without more real details, it’s tough to tell what’s actually worth paying for.

I’ve picked up a few files from My Mini Facotry, and while some of them look really nice in the photos, the actual printing experience hasn’t always matched up. A few printed fine, but others had messy or missing supports, and I even had to fix errors in a couple of the models myself. It’s not "awful" or anything, but for paid files, I expected a bit more polish.

I tried it for a bit, but it just didn’t feel worth the monthly cost to me. There’s some useful stuff here and there, but for what you get, it doesn’t really justify paying for it every month...

The site works fine overall, so no big complaint there. It’s just that the communication felt a little slow at times. Basically, I found myself having to check back on my own for updates more than I thought I’d need to. Not a terrible experience or anything, just a bit rough around the edges when it comes to keeping people in the loop

Signing up was way more frustrating than it needed to be. The confirmation email took forever to show up, and then when I finally tried to log in, it kept telling me my password was wrong even though I had literally just created it.

The reset link did work eventually, but the whole process felt clunky and annoying. On top of that, the reminder emails/messages felt way too aggressive, like I was being chased before I’d even properly used the site. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely a bad first impression. 2 stars.

So... I mostly use myminifactory for saving models I want to print later and organizing things into collections. It actually makes it really easy to keep track of stuff I like, and I’m not constantly losing links or forgetting what I wanted to print anymore. The wishlist is simple, but it does exactly what I need. I’m happy with it.

I grabbed a few STL files from MyMiniFactory and the whole checkout process was smooth. The cart was easy to understand, and I didn’t have to stop and figure out what was going on.

My card payment went through on the first try, and the download links showed up almost right away. No random errors, no extra hoops, which was a relief because that stuff usually makes me nervous.

I did check my email just to be sure, but everything was already there. Easy checkout, no complaints. 5 stars.

I’ve found some really cool models on My Mini Facotry, so I wouldn’t say it’s a bad place at all. But if you’re going in hoping for a lively community vibe, just know it can feel a little quiet. Comments or questions sometimes sit there without a reply, and unless you already know a few creators or people on the site, it can feel like you’re kind of posting into the void.
My advice would be to use it more as a place to find models than as your main spot for discussion or support. Creator interaction is hit or miss, so if you need help with a print or file, you may want to check outside groups or communities too. There’s still value here, but I do wish the platform encouraged more back-and-forth between users and creators.

I still remember the first time I uploaded one of my designs online and felt that little knot in my stomach, wondering if someone would just copy it. With MyMiniFactory, I don’t get that same uneasy feeling as much. They seem to take IP protection seriously, and I appreciate that they have clear rules around stolen files and copying. Of course, no site is perfect, but compared to other places I’ve tried, I feel like my work is treated with more respect here.

Just a heads up for anyone else who runs into this: I had a file that wasn’t showing up in my account, which was frustrating at first. Support did get back to me the next day, and once I sent over my order info, they were able to fix it. It took a little back and forth, so don’t expect it to be instant, but it did get sorted in the end.
